Emma Schultz
Southern Chapter Chair-Elect
Emma joined SAF in 2007 as a member of the UMN Student Chapter. After receiving a B.S. in Forest Resources in 2009, she moved to Maine for graduate school, and obtained an M.S. in Forest Science (Silviculture) from UMaine studying under Bob Seymour. In what now feels like a lifetime ago, Emma worked as a field forester in remote northern Maine. While in Maine, she served as the Poster Symposium Coordinator for the 2011 SAF National Convention in Honolulu, and as Secretary for New England SAF from 2012-2015. After a short break from her career, she now assists with urban forest management across Minnesota in her role as Community Forest Project Specialist with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, based in St. Paul. When not at work, you can catch her on a bike, likely rolling with her daughter Juniper and alongside her husband Eli.
